🧩 Role Overview – Manual Tester (Life Insurance | Team Leadership)
ComUnus is hiring an experienced Manual Tester with strong expertise in the Life Insurance domain and proven leadership skills.
This role is ideal for professionals who can combine domain knowledge with hands-on testing and lead a small QA team to deliver high-quality insurance applications.
In this role, you will:
• Lead QA testing activities for life insurance systems
• Ensure quality releases across policy and claims workflows
• Coordinate with business, development, and stakeholder teams
You will play a key role in maintaining software quality, delivery timelines, and customer trust.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
• Lead and mentor a team of QA testers, ensuring task allocation and timely delivery
• Understand Life Insurance workflows such as Policy Administration, Claims, Underwriting, etc.
• Analyze business requirements and prepare detailed test scenarios and test cases
• Perform functional, regression, system, and UAT testing
• Identify, log, and track defects using defect management tools
• Coordinate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders
• Review test cases, execution reports, and ensure quality standards
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and QA status reporting
• Ensure proper documentation and complete test coverage
• Support production releases and post-release validation
🎯 Experience & Qualification Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field preferred
• 4–5 years of experience in Manual Testing
• Mandatory experience in Life Insurance domain
• Experience leading or handling a team of 2–5 members
• Strong understanding of STLC and SDLC
• Experience with JIRA, ALM, or similar defect management tools
• Knowledge of SQL for basic database validation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments preferred
⭐ Nice to Have Skills
• Exposure to automation testing tools
• Experience in policy issuance and premium workflows
• API testing using Postman
• UAT stakeholder management
• Release coordination experience
