🔍 Essential Skillset & Responsibilities
💫 Manual & Automation Testing Ownership
As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring high software quality through a balanced mix of manual testing and automation testing. You will design, execute, and maintain test coverage across critical product workflows to support reliable releases and better user experiences.
💫 Functional, Regression, Smoke & Exploratory Testing
You will perform functional testing, regression testing, smoke testing, sanity testing, and exploratory testing across web applications and enterprise systems. Your testing efforts will help catch defects early and maintain release stability.
💫 Automation Testing with Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright
You will contribute to test automation initiatives using tools like Selenium, Java, Cypress, or Playwright. Building scalable automation coverage will help reduce manual effort, improve test efficiency, and accelerate release cycles.
💫 API Testing & Backend Validation
You will perform API testing using Postman or similar tools, validating backend services, data flow, and system integrations. Strong API testing skills will be valuable for ensuring application reliability across distributed systems.
💫 Database Testing & Data Validation
You will also work with database testing, validating data accuracy and backend consistency through SQL-based checks. This helps ensure that UI behavior, service responses, and stored data remain aligned.
💫 Defect Tracking & Agile Collaboration
You will log, track, and verify defects using JIRA and collaborate closely with development and product teams. You will actively participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to support Agile delivery.
🔍 Required Skills & Qualifications
💫 3–7 years of experience in QA / Software Testing
💫 Strong hands-on experience in Manual Testing
💫 Exposure to Automation Testing using Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright
💫 Strong knowledge of Java / JavaScript / Python for automation is a plus
💫 Experience in API Testing using Postman or similar tools
💫 Knowledge of Database Testing and SQL
💫 Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile, and release processes
💫 Hands-on experience with JIRA or other defect management tools
💫 Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
