🧩 Role Overview – Software Tester (Manual Testing)
WaferWire is hiring a Software Tester with hands-on real-time project experience in Manual Testing for its Hyderabad team.
This role is ideal for professionals who want to strengthen expertise in functional testing, system testing, defect management, and requirement validation—high-value skills in today’s QA industry.
In this role, you will:
• Ensure product quality through structured manual testing
• Work closely with development teams for defect resolution
• Validate business requirements through effective test coverage
You will play a key role in ensuring stable releases and high-performing software products.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
• Perform Manual Testing for enterprise and software applications
• Execute Functional Testing and System Testing cycles
• Prepare Test Cases, Test Scenarios, and Test Plans
• Review business requirements, SRS, and use cases
• Identify, log, track, and verify defects using JIRA / Azure DevOps or similar tools
• Collaborate closely with developers and product teams
• Perform regression testing before releases
• Ensure requirement traceability and quality standards
• Support release readiness and defect triage processes
• Work independently in fast-paced project environments
🎯 Experience & Qualification Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field preferred
• 2–4 years of experience in Manual Testing / QA
• Strong understanding of SDLC & STLC
• Hands-on experience writing Test Cases, Test Scenarios, and Test Plans
• Experience with defect tracking tools like JIRA / Azure DevOps
• Strong experience in Functional Testing and System Testing
• Ability to work closely with development teams
• Exposure to requirement analysis using SRS / Use Cases
• Good communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
⭐ Nice to Have Skills
• Experience in product-based or enterprise application testing
• Exposure to hardware + software system-level testing
• Agile / Scrum methodology experience
• Basic SQL or API testing knowledge
