Key Responsibilities:
· Execute manual, functional, and regression testing for web and mobile applications, ensuring consistent quality across multiple platforms and device variations. This includes validating core functionality, UI/UX behavior, business workflows, error handling, and end-to-end processes across different releases and environments.
· Develop and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test reports with high accuracy. This includes reviewing requirements, designing comprehensive test scenarios, and updating documentation aligned with evolving product changes. Clear documentation helps streamline automation handoff, transparency, and overall product stability.
· Identify, document, and track defects using tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, or Azure DevOps. Write clear, reproducible defect steps and collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure timely bug resolution and efficient sprint progress.
· Perform smoke testing, sanity testing, and thorough re-testing after bug fixes to ensure consistent product performance, stability, and optimal functionality across all builds.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, business analysts, designers, and product managers to ensure smooth product releases. Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, grooming sessions, and retrospectives as part of an Agile environment.
· Participate in review meetings to provide actionable feedback on product design, usability, and functional workflows. Share suggestions to enhance user experience, improve product consistency, and eliminate design-level gaps at early stages.
· Ensure complete coverage of requirements by creating and maintaining traceability matrices, ensuring every user requirement is validated through systematic test scenarios and documented evidence. This helps avoid gaps in testing and ensures compliance with internal quality standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or an equivalent technical field from a recognized institution.
· 3–4 years of solid hands-on experience in manual testing with strong exposure to end-to-end testing cycles, release validation, and documentation.
· Strong understanding of functional testing, regression testing, usability testing, and compatibility testing, ensuring applications work seamlessly for users across devices and browsers.
· Proven experience in testing web applications, mobile apps (Android/iOS), APIs, forms, workflows, and data-driven modules in both Agile and hybrid project environments.
· Proficiency in bug-tracking and test management tools such as JIRA, Trello, TestRail, or Azure DevOps, ensuring structured workflow, accurate tracking, and transparent reporting.
· A solid understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle), with the ability to apply best practices during requirement analysis, test planning, and release cycles.
· Excellent analytical thinking skills, the ability to identify root causes of issues, and strong communication capabilities to articulate findings clearly to stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
· Exposure to API testing using tools like Postman for validating endpoints, request-response cycles, functional flows, and backend integrations.
· Basic to intermediate knowledge of SQL queries for backend validation, data integrity checks, and investigating database-related issues.
· Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies, sprint frameworks, and collaborative development processes.
· Awareness or entry-level exposure to automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium is an added advantage, helping bridge the gap between manual and automation testing in hybrid test environments.
