About the Role:
As an Expert Manual QA Engineer, you’ll be a key contributor to a cross-functional development team working on a globally-operating Tax and Financial Services platform. This platform streamlines complex financial operations for enterprises and users worldwide. You will:
Support the QA Head in defining and implementing QA strategies and standards.
Ensure functional, regression, integration, performance, and automation testing are applied consistently across Scrum teams.
Identify risks early and drive effective mitigation strategies.
Collaborate with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and RTEs to integrate quality into PI planning and team ceremonies.
Track and report on testing progress, dependencies, and quality metrics to stakeholders.
Contribute to continuous process improvement within SAFe environments.
Facilitate defect triage discussions and ensure quality gates are met before releases.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and testing strategies for multi-stream projects.
Perform thorough manual testing across web and mobile platforms.
Analyze requirements and create Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM).
Collaborate with QA Leads to identify team development needs and reinforce a quality-first mindset.
Support release readiness assessments and ensure compliance with defined QA standards.
Establish test reporting metrics, dashboards, and KPIs for effective quality monitoring.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Software Testing:
Strong experience in designing and executing test strategies for small to large commercial projects.
Hands-on experience in functional, regression, integration, API, and performance testing.
Expertise in test documentation creation and execution.
Technologies & Tools:
Proficiency in API testing tools (Postman, Proxy tools), Mobile testing tools, SQL/NoSQL databases.
Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (JIRA, TestRail, ALM).
SDLC & Agile:
Mastery of Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe), driving and improving activities like planning, estimation, and retrospectives.
Experience in Agile artifacts such as Scrum boards, Burndown Charts, and sprint metrics.
Strong ability to estimate testing activities accurately.
Desirable Skills:
Experience with CI/CD tools (Git, Jenkins) and debugging proxy tools (Fiddler, Charles Proxy).
Mobile projects: Expert in mobile testing strategies, types, and app distribution tools.
Automation projects: Proficiency in creating automation test cases, analyzing test reports, and metrics.
Cloud projects: Skilled in test data migration and queue testing.
