The QA Manual Tester will play a critical role in validating complex, business-critical applications used by global customers. The role requires strong hands-on expertise in functional testing, scenario validation, and workflow verification across web-based and backend-driven systems. The tester will analyze business requirements, user stories, and functional specifications to design comprehensive test cases that ensure system reliability, data accuracy, and seamless user experience. A deep understanding of testing methodologies and QA best practices is essential to maintain high quality across frequent releases.
💫 Structured STLC Implementation & Quality Governance
The candidate will be responsible for executing the complete Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), including requirement analysis, test planning, test case design, execution, defect reporting, re-testing, and closure. The role demands disciplined test execution, strong traceability between requirements and test cases, and adherence to quality gates. The tester will actively contribute to improving QA processes, test documentation standards, and defect lifecycle management to support predictable and stable releases.
💫 API Testing & Backend Validation Using Postman
API testing is a mandatory and critical requirement for this role. The QA Manual Tester will validate RESTful APIs using Postman, ensuring correct request/response behavior, data integrity, error handling, and backend workflow accuracy. The role involves testing APIs independently as well as validating end-to-end flows that integrate UI, services, and databases. Understanding of HTTP methods, status codes, authentication mechanisms, and payload structures is necessary to identify integration issues early in the development cycle.
💫 Complex Workflow Analysis & End-to-End Scenario Testing
The candidate must demonstrate the ability to analyze complex application workflows involving multiple systems, roles, and data dependencies. This includes validating business rules, edge cases, negative scenarios, and exception handling paths. The tester will work closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners to clarify requirements and ensure all functional and non-functional expectations are fully covered before release.
💫 Defect Management, Reporting & Documentation Excellence
Strong experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira and TestRail is required. The QA Manual Tester will log clear, reproducible defects with proper severity, priority, steps, screenshots, logs, and impact analysis. Maintaining high-quality test artifacts, execution reports, and release readiness documentation is a key responsibility. Clear communication with stakeholders regarding defect trends, risk areas, and quality status is expected.
💫 Collaboration with Distributed & Global Teams
This role operates in alignment with Berlin business hours, supporting global stakeholders and international delivery teams. The tester must be comfortable collaborating across time zones, participating in virtual meetings, sprint ceremonies, and release discussions. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid setup are essential for success in this role.

While the primary focus is manual and functional testing, the tester should possess awareness of performance considerations, system stability, and scalability risks. 🔍 Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
💫 Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in manual and functional testing across enterprise or product-based applications.
💫 Minimum 1.5+ years of strong, hands-on experience in API testing using Postman.

💫 Experience in Black Box, White Box, Functional, and Performance-oriented testing approaches.
💫 Hands-on experience with Jira, TestRail, Postman, and similar QA tools.

💫 Ability to work independently in remote or hybrid environments while supporting international business hours.
