🧩 Role Overview – Quality Assurance Analyst

People Corporation is currently seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Analyst to join its technology team supporting enterprise applications used for billing and administration of group insurance benefits.

In this role, you will collaborate with developers, business analysts, solution architects, product managers, and project managers to ensure high levels of software quality across multiple applications and digital platforms.

The QA Analyst will play a critical role in validating systems built using Microsoft Power Platform technologies, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, and Power BI. These applications support important business operations, meaning quality assurance must be precise and thorough.

The role involves performing manual and automated testing across web and mobile applications, ensuring that software features meet business requirements, function correctly across platforms, and deliver reliable performance for end users.

Working within an Agile development environment, the QA Analyst will participate in sprint cycles, execute regression testing, manage test suites, and support release validation processes. The role also includes supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and assisting with production issue investigations using log monitoring tools such as Splunk.

This remote role allows QA professionals based in Toronto or across Canada to collaborate with cross-functional teams while contributing to the delivery of enterprise-level digital products.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain QA artifacts including test strategies, test cases, and traceability matrices

• Execute and document manual and automated testing activities across multiple platforms

• Perform functional, integration, regression, UI, and UAT testing for web and mobile applications

• Conduct exploratory testing to identify usability issues and potential edge cases

• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business analysts to clarify requirements and define acceptance criteria

• Manage and maintain the QA test suite and testing documentation

• Support defect triage processes and assist in investigating production issues

• Use log monitoring tools such as Splunk to analyze and troubleshoot system issues

• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives

• Improve regression testing cycles and ensure proper release validation before production deployment

• Ensure digital products meet accessibility standards such as WCAG 2.1

• Utilize QA tools including TestRail, Jira, Git, Jenkins, or similar testing platforms

• Coordinate with multiple teams to ensure software releases meet both technical and business requirements

🎯 Experience & Qualification Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance within Agile environments

• Strong experience performing manual testing for web and mobile applications

• Solid understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

• Experience creating and managing test strategies, test cases, and test documentation

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for identifying system defects

• Experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and working with business stakeholders

• Ability to perform root cause analysis and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues

• Experience using test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira or TestRail

• Familiarity with CI/CD environments and development tools like Git and Jenkins

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong time management and prioritization skills to manage multiple testing initiatives simultaneously
