🧩 Role Overview – QA Tester
Rules Cube is seeking a skilled QA Tester with strong manual testing and database validation experience to support enterprise software delivery projects.
This role involves testing medium to large enterprise applications across multiple platforms and environments. The QA tester will be responsible for validating application functionality, verifying backend data accuracy, and ensuring business logic is implemented correctly.
A major focus of this role includes database validation and ETL testing, which means the tester must be comfortable writing complex SQL queries and validating data transformation rules.
The QA tester will also work closely with developers, project managers, and business stakeholders to ensure applications meet both functional and technical requirements before being released into production.
Because the company follows Agile and Scrum delivery methodologies, the QA tester will participate in sprint planning, testing cycles, and release validation activities.

🔧 Key Responsibilities
• Perform manual testing for enterprise-level applications
• Design and execute detailed test strategies, test plans, and test cases

• Validate business logic and system workflows across multiple environments
• Review test documentation including functional specifications, test cases, and scripts
• Track and manage defects using HP QC, Test Management tools, and JIRA
• Work closely with developers to reproduce and resolve application defects
• Provide QA recommendations regarding production readiness and release approvals
• Participate in Agile sprint meetings, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
• Manage communication between multiple stakeholders and development teams
• Evaluate project priorities and testing requirements across multiple initiatives
• Contribute to defining and improving quality metrics across enterprise systems
🎯 Experience & Qualification Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
• Strong knowledge of software testing concepts and QA methodologies
• Experience performing manual testing in enterprise software environments
• Strong hands-on experience working with SQL databases
• Ability to write and execute complex SQL queries for backend validation
• Experience performing ETL testing and data transformation validation
• Experience working with test management tools such as HP QC and JIRA
• Solid understanding of Agile / Scrum development methodologies
• Experience creating test strategies and QA documentation
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• ISTQB certification or Agile certification (preferred)
