🧩 Role Overview – Software QA Analyst (Hybrid | Canada)
Reliable Controls is hiring Software QA Analysts (Level 1 & Level 2) to strengthen its product quality and testing capabilities.
This role goes beyond traditional QA execution. You will act as a quality advocate, ensuring software reliability, usability, and performance while contributing to long-term testing strategies.
You will collaborate closely with:
• Developers
• Product Owners
• Cross-functional Agile teams
This is a high-impact QA role where your decisions directly influence product quality, user experience, and environmental innovation initiatives.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
• Develop, execute, and optimize test plans and testing strategies
• Perform manual and limited automation testing
• Analyze requirements and define clear acceptance criteria
• Identify, document, and communicate defects with detailed context
• Perform regression testing to ensure system stability
• Troubleshoot issues and perform root cause analysis
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (Scrum/Kanban)
• Collaborate with teams to resolve testing challenges and improve quality
• Contribute to QA process improvements and best practices
• Share knowledge and promote a continuous learning culture
🎯 Experience & Qualification Requirements
✅ Level 1 (Entry-Level QA)
• 1+ year of experience in QA or related field
✅ Level 2 (Experienced QA)
• 5+ years of experience in Software QA
🎓 Common Requirements:
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or STEM field
• Experience writing test plans, test cases, and defect reports
• Strong understanding of web and desktop applications
• Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
• Experience in manual testing and automation basics
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Basic networking knowledge (setup & troubleshooting)
