🧩 Role Overview – QA SDET Automation Engineer (Java + Selenium | Remote)
Tarangan Solutions is hiring highly skilled QA Automation Engineers with strong experience in Selenium, Java, and SQL.
This role is ideal for professionals who want to work on scalable automation frameworks, CI/CD-driven testing, and enterprise applications in a remote environment.
In this role, you will:
• Design and maintain automation frameworks
• Execute end-to-end automated test suites
• Ensure stable, secure, and high-quality releases
You will play a key role in improving product quality, reducing production defects, and accelerating engineering velocity.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Java + Selenium
• Build automation scripts for functional, regression, smoke, and integration testing
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA teams for complete test coverage
• Perform API testing using REST Assured / Postman automation tools
• Conduct SQL-based backend testing for data validation and business rules
• Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins / GitHub Actions / GitLab)
• Identify, analyze, and report defects with proper documentation
• Optimize existing test suites for speed, reliability, and maintainability
• Participate in Agile ceremonies like standups, sprint planning, retrospectives
• Drive QA process improvements and automation best practices
🎯 Experience & Qualification Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field preferred
• 5+ years of hands-on experience as SDET / Automation QA
• Strong expertise in Java, Selenium WebDriver, TestNG / JUnit
• Solid experience in writing and optimizing SQL queries
• Experience with Git, Maven, Gradle
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows
• Experience in API automation testing
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, STLC, Agile
• Excellent debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
⭐ Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Docker / cloud-based testing environments
• Exposure to performance testing tools like JMeter / Gatling
• Knowledge of BDD frameworks like Cucumber
• Experience with reporting tools like Allure / Extent Reports
• Exposure to enterprise-scale applications
