🧩 Role Overview – Manual Test Engineer
Birlasoft is hiring Manual Test Engineers with 2–4 years of experience to strengthen its Quality Assurance team across multiple locations in India.
This opportunity is well suited for QA professionals with strong hands-on manual testing experience and knowledge of test design, defect lifecycle management, API testing, and enterprise applications.
Experience with Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance applications will be an added advantage.
In this role, you will work closely with business analysts, developers, QA teams, and project stakeholders to ensure comprehensive test coverage and high-quality software releases.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
• Analyze business and functional requirements and translate them into detailed test scenarios and test cases
• Design and execute Functional, Integration, System, End-to-End, and Regression Testing
• Ensure test coverage aligns with business and technical requirements
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects
• Participate actively in defect triage and resolution discussions
• Provide accurate test execution status and defect metrics
• Identify testing risks and communicate them to QA leadership and project stakeholders
• Perform API testing using SOAP UI or equivalent tools
• Maintain comprehensive QA documentation and test evidence
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the Software Development Life Cycle
• Support continuous improvements in QA processes and testing practices
🎯 Experience & Qualification Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field preferred
• 2–4 years of experience in QA / Software Testing
• Extensive hands-on experience in Manual Testing
• Strong understanding of test design techniques
• Good knowledge of defect lifecycle management
• Experience with Functional, Integration, System, End-to-End, and Regression Testing
• Experience with QA tools such as Azure DevOps or equivalent
• Experience working with Agile, Scrum, and/or Waterfall delivery models
• Hands-on experience with API Testing using SOAP UI or similar tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
