🧩 Role Overview – Automation Test Engineer (Selenium Java)
Deloitte is hiring an experienced Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in Selenium Automation using Java.
This is a client-facing Individual Contributor role where you'll build automation solutions, validate enterprise applications, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality software releases.
In this role, you will:
• Develop and maintain automation test scripts using Selenium and Java
• Execute end-to-end automation and functional testing
• Collaborate with developers, business teams, and stakeholders
You will play a key role in improving software quality, automation coverage, and release confidence across enterprise applications.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts using Selenium WebDriver and Java
• Execute Functional, Regression, Integration, and End-to-End Testing
• Validate application functionality using SQL queries
• Identify, document, and track software defects
• Collaborate with developers and business stakeholders to resolve issues
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and sprint planning
• Maintain test documentation and automation reports
• Improve automation framework stability and test coverage
• Support release validation and production readiness
• Ensure delivery of high-quality enterprise software
🎯 Experience & Qualification Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field preferred
• 2–6 years of relevant experience in QA Automation
• Strong hands-on experience with Selenium Automation using Java
• Good SQL and Database Validation skills
• Understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and client interaction skills
• Ability to work independently in a client-facing environment
