🧩 Role Overview – QA Test Engineer (Automation & API Testing)
HCLSoftware is hiring an experienced QA Test Engineer with strong expertise in Automation Testing, API Testing, and end-to-end product validation.
This role is ideal for QA professionals who enjoy building automation solutions, validating APIs, and ensuring software quality across enterprise applications.
In this role, you will:
• Develop and execute automation test solutions
• Perform API and end-to-end product testing
• Collaborate with developers and product teams to deliver high-quality software
You will play a critical role in improving automation coverage, identifying defects early, and ensuring reliable software releases.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and execute automation test scripts
• Perform API Testing and end-to-end product validation
• Execute Functional, Regression, Integration, and Smoke Testing
• Create, maintain, and optimize automated test suites
• Identify, document, and track software defects
• Collaborate with developers and business teams for issue resolution
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and sprint activities
• Prepare test documentation and execution reports
• Improve automation framework stability and test coverage
• Ensure high-quality software releases across enterprise applications
🎯 Experience & Qualification Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field preferred
• 5–8 years of experience in Software Testing / QA Automation
• Strong hands-on experience in Automation Testing
• Experience in API Testing
• Product testing and end-to-end validation experience
• Hands-on scripting experience
• Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Immediate joiners preferred
