🧩 Role Overview – SDET QA Automation Engineer
Persistent Systems is hiring experienced SDET QA Automation Engineers to strengthen its Quality Engineering team.
This role is ideal for automation professionals with strong software testing expertise who enjoy building scalable automation frameworks, improving software quality, and working closely with engineering teams throughout the SDLC.
In this role, you will:
• Design and develop robust automation solutions
• Execute end-to-end automation testing strategies
• Collaborate with developers and product teams to ensure high-quality software releases
You will play a key role in driving automation excellence and improving product reliability.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks
• Create and execute automated test scripts for web and enterprise applications
• Perform Functional, Regression, Integration, Smoke, and End-to-End Testing
• Collaborate with developers to identify and resolve software defects
• Participate in requirement analysis and sprint planning
• Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines
• Track defects and maintain comprehensive QA documentation
• Improve automation coverage and testing efficiency
• Support continuous process improvement initiatives
• Ensure high-quality software releases across Agile projects
🎯 Experience & Qualification Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field preferred
• 6–10+ years of experience in Software Testing / SDET / QA Automation
• Strong hands-on experience in Automation Testing
• Experience developing and maintaining automation frameworks
• Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies
• Experience with defect tracking and test management tools
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
⭐ Nice to Have Skills
• Selenium WebDriver
• Java or Python
• API Testing (Postman / REST Assured)
• TestNG / JUnit / Cucumber
• Jenkins, Git, Maven, or CI/CD tools
• SQL and Database Testing
• Performance and Security Testing exposure
