🧩 Role Overview – Test Engineer
As a Test Engineer, you will work closely with the QA and development teams to validate application functionality, APIs, and backend data. The role involves creating test scenarios, executing manual tests, validating API responses and database information, and identifying defects before software releases.
You will contribute to the complete Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) while helping maintain application quality, reliability, and functionality.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
Perform Manual Testing for web applications and APIs.
Execute Functional, Regression, and Integration Testing.
Create detailed test cases and test scenarios based on requirements.
Perform API Testing and validate backend responses.
Use SQL/PostgreSQL for database validation and data verification.
Identify, document, and track software defects.
Perform retesting and regression testing after defect fixes.
Validate application workflows and business requirements.
Participate in SDLC and STLC activities.
Collaborate with developers and QA team members to investigate and resolve issues.
Maintain accurate testing documentation and communicate test results.
🎯 Experience & Qualification Requirements
1–2 years of experience in Software Testing, QA, or a Test Engineer role.
Hands-on experience in Manual Testing.
Experience with Web and API Testing.
Good understanding of Functional, Regression, and Integration Testing.
Ability to create effective test cases and test scenarios.
Working knowledge of API Testing and backend validation.
Good knowledge of SQL and PostgreSQL.
Understanding of defect reporting and tracking processes.
Good understanding of SDLC and STLC.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
⭐ Nice to Have Skills
Experience with Postman or similar API testing tools.
Familiarity with Jira or other defect tracking systems.
Basic understanding of database testing and query optimization.
Exposure to automation testing concepts.
Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
Familiarity with CI/CD and modern software development practices.
Basic understanding of REST APIs and JSON.
