🧩 Role Overview – QA Engineer
As a QA Engineer, you will contribute to software quality through approximately 60% Manual Testing and 40% Automation Testing. You will design and execute test cases, validate application functionality, work with automation tools and frameworks, and help identify issues throughout the testing lifecycle.
The role requires strong analytical and problem-solving abilities along with effective communication and collaboration skills.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
Perform Manual Testing across application workflows and requirements.
Develop and execute detailed test cases and test scenarios.
Perform functional and regression testing as required.
Develop and execute automated tests using relevant automation tools and frameworks.
Maintain and improve automated test scripts and test coverage.
Participate in complete Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) activities.
Identify, document, and communicate software defects.
Analyze test failures and support issue investigation.
Collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to resolve defects.
Perform retesting and regression validation after fixes.
Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and software quality.
Maintain appropriate testing documentation and communicate test results.
🎯 Experience & Qualification Requirements
3–6 years of experience in QA Engineering, Software Testing, or Quality Assurance.
Strong hands-on experience in Manual Testing.
Experience with Automation Testing and test automation frameworks.
Good understanding of the complete STLC.
Experience writing, executing, and maintaining test cases.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to troubleshoot testing issues and identify defects.
Good understanding of software testing methodologies.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
⭐ Nice to Have Skills
Experience with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar automation tools.
Knowledge of API Testing and REST APIs.
Experience with SQL/database validation.
Familiarity with Jira or other defect tracking tools.
Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Exposure to CI/CD and DevOps testing practices.
Experience developing reusable automation frameworks.
