🧩 Role Overview – Manual Tester
As a Manual Tester, you will be responsible for validating application functionality, user workflows, APIs, and end-to-end business processes. You will design and execute test cases, identify defects, analyze test failures, and collaborate with developers and stakeholders to help deliver reliable software.
This role is suitable for QA professionals with hands-on experience in Web Testing, API Testing, Functional Testing, Regression Testing, Smoke Testing, Exploratory Testing, and End-to-End Testing.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
Perform Web, API, UI, Functional, Regression, Smoke, Exploratory, and End-to-End Testing.
Design, write, execute, and maintain detailed test cases and test scripts.
Prepare test plans and ensure adequate test coverage.
Analyze test failures and support debugging and root-cause identification.
Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects.
Participate in SDLC and STLC activities.
Validate application workflows against business and technical requirements.
Perform regression testing after application changes and bug fixes.
Collaborate with developers and stakeholders for successful implementation.
Communicate testing results, defects, risks, and quality observations effectively.
Contribute to improving overall QA processes and software quality.
🎯 Experience & Qualification Requirements
2–8 years of experience in Manual Testing / Software Testing / Quality Assurance.
Strong hands-on experience in manual testing methodologies.
Experience with Web, UI, Functional, Regression, Smoke, Exploratory, and E2E testing.
Good understanding of API Testing and application workflows.
Ability to design and execute comprehensive test cases.
Experience preparing test plans and maintaining test coverage.
Strong defect identification, documentation, and tracking skills.
Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, and software QA processes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Good communication and collaboration skills.
⭐ Nice to Have Skills
Experience with API testing tools such as Postman.
Familiarity with SQL and database validation.
Knowledge of defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira.
Exposure to automation testing concepts and frameworks.
Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Experience with CI/CD-based testing environments.
Knowledge of performance, integration, or security testing concepts.
