🧩 Role Overview – SDET
As an SDET, you will work in a role focused approximately 70% on testing and 30% on coding, combining software testing expertise with strong programming and automation capabilities.
You will design and maintain automated tests, validate APIs and integrations, work with messaging technologies such as MQ/Kafka, and contribute to modern Quality Engineering practices across cloud-based and integrated systems.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain scalable test automation solutions.
Perform functional, API, integration, and system-level testing.
Build automation using Selenium and Playwright.
Design and execute API tests based on API architecture and integration requirements.
Implement BDD testing using Cucumber.
Validate system integrations involving MQ, Kafka, and distributed services.
Write and optimize complex SQL queries for backend and database validation.
Investigate automation failures and perform root-cause analysis.
Apply appropriate security measures and secure testing practices within automation.
Use AI tools effectively to improve testing, automation, and QA productivity.
Work with cloud-based technologies and environments.
Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, architects, and other stakeholders.
Take ownership of testing activities and communicate risks, defects, and results effectively.
🎯 Experience & Qualification Requirements
4–7 years of relevant experience in SDET, Automation Testing, QA Automation, or Quality Engineering.
Strong programming fundamentals and problem-solving abilities.
Hands-on experience with Selenium and Playwright.
Strong understanding of API Testing, API architecture, and system integrations.
Experience with BDD and Cucumber.
Knowledge of MQ/Kafka and integration testing.
Strong SQL query-writing and database validation skills.
Understanding of security considerations in test automation.
Good knowledge of cloud technologies and environments.
Ability to use modern AI tools for testing and automation.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
High level of ownership with a positive and collaborative approach.
⭐ Nice to Have Skills
Experience with REST API automation frameworks.
Advanced Playwright automation and framework development.
Experience with CI/CD and DevOps testing pipelines.
Knowledge of Docker or Kubernetes-based environments.
Experience with performance or load testing.
Understanding of microservices and distributed architectures.
Experience integrating automated testing into cloud-based CI/CD workflows.
Familiarity with advanced AI-assisted Quality Engineering tools.
