🔧 Responsibilities;-
• Build, maintain, and enhance robust automation frameworks using Java, Selenium WebDriver, Rest Assured, TestNG, Cucumber, and other industry-standard technologies.
• Perform end-to-end automation testing across UI, API, regression, functional, integration, and smoke test suites, ensuring coverage of all critical workflows and edge cases.
• Define and implement best practices for automation architecture, leveraging reusable components, design patterns (Page Object Model, Factory, Singleton, etc.), and maintainable coding approaches.
• Integrate automation with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or other orchestration tools to ensure continuous testing and seamless build validations.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including developers, architects, designers, and business stakeholders—to analyze requirements, optimize test coverage, and improve product quality.
• Conduct API testing using Rest Assured, validating request/response structures, authentication workflows, and backend behaviours.
• Use SQL extensively to validate backend data, perform data integrity checks, identify mismatches, and ensure seamless system performance.
• Participate in story grooming sessions, requirement analysis meetings, and technical discussions to ensure QA inputs influence product design and development.
• Troubleshoot automation failures, identify root causes, raise defects, track resolutions, and ensure issues are fixed within expected timelines.
• Ensure compliance with Agile practices, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and continuous improvement processes.
• Collaborate with global teams across multiple time zones, participating in client discussions, architecture meetings, and product strategy sessions.
• Use monitoring tools, version-control systems, and documentation platforms to maintain transparency, traceability, and consistent alignment with the project roadmap.
🧠 What EPAM Expects
• Strong expertise in Java programming with the ability to write clean, readable, and scalable automation code.
• Hands-on experience in UI automation with extensive knowledge of Selenium WebDriver, Grid, WebDriverManager, and browser automation strategies.
• Deep understanding of API testing, REST principles, JSON structures, request validations, authentication flows, and API automation frameworks (Rest Assured).
• Knowledge of automation design patterns, enabling engineers to build modular, reusable, and maintainable test suites.
• Experience implementing BDD frameworks using Cucumber, ensuring collaboration between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated build processes, Docker containers, and cloud-based test execution platforms.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile methodologies, and related QA best practices.
• Extensive experience in SQL, particularly for validating database operations, data flow consistency, and backend logic.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, debugging expertise, and a proactive mindset for identifying potential risks early in development cycles.
• Excellent communication skills, enabling clear collaboration with cross-functional and distributed teams.
