🧩 Role Overview – API Test Engineer (Fintech | API & Integration Testing)
ThoughtFocus is hiring an experienced API Test Engineer with strong expertise in API validation, fintech workflows, and technical documentation analysis.
This role is ideal for professionals working in high-value domains like API testing, payment systems, and financial services—key areas with strong demand and high CPC value.
In this role, you will:
• Perform API testing and validation across systems
• Analyze technical documentation and developer portals
• Ensure accuracy and reliability of fintech workflows
You will play a critical role in ensuring secure, high-quality, and scalable API-driven applications.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
• Perform API testing using tools like Postman or similar platforms
• Validate API responses against OpenAPI / YAML specifications
• Compare API payloads (JSON) with defined schemas and documentation
• Analyze and evaluate developer portals and technical documentation
• Ensure high-quality API functionality and user experience
• Identify, log, and track defects with detailed reporting
• Collaborate with developers and product teams for issue resolution
• Validate fintech workflows including payment processing and integrations
• Ensure system reliability, security, and compliance standards
• Participate in Agile processes and continuous delivery cycles
🎯 Experience & Qualification Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
• 5–10 years of experience in API Testing / QA
• Strong hands-on experience with API testing tools (Postman, etc.)
• Ability to read and interpret OpenAPI / YAML specifications
• Experience validating JSON payloads and API responses
• Understanding of developer portals and technical documentation UX
• Domain knowledge in Fintech / Merchant Services / Payments (preferred)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and collaboration abilities
• Experience working in Agile environments
⭐ Nice to Have Skills
• Experience with automation tools for API testing
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Exposure to cloud-based API environments
• Familiarity with security testing for APIs
