🧩 Role Overview – API Automation Test Engineer
Capgemini is conducting a Virtual Hiring Drive for experienced API Automation Test Engineers with 4–9 years of experience in Pune.
This opportunity is part of a high-impact Banking Transformation Program, where professionals will work on enterprise-scale applications and modern API automation initiatives.
The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Karate Framework or Bruno API Automation, along with hands-on experience in Java Automation Framework Development.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain automated API test suites
• Build API automation solutions using Karate Framework / Bruno
• Develop and enhance Java-based automation frameworks
• Create comprehensive API test scenarios for enterprise applications
• Validate REST APIs and end-to-end integration workflows
• Implement authentication and authorization testing using OAuth and JWT
• Perform SQL-based data validation and database verification
• Analyze automated test failures and perform root-cause investigation
• Debug automation scripts and identify framework-level issues
• Maintain reliable and reusable automation components
• Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, business analysts, and project stakeholders
• Contribute to automation strategy, test coverage, and quality improvement initiatives
• Support enterprise banking application releases and validation activities
🎯 Experience & Qualification Requirements
• 4–9 years of experience in Software Testing / Automation Testing
• Strong hands-on experience in API Automation Testing
• Karate Framework or Bruno API Automation experience is mandatory / strongly preferred
• Strong Java programming knowledge
• Experience developing Java-based Automation Frameworks
• Strong understanding of REST APIs
• Hands-on experience with OAuth and JWT authentication
• Strong SQL knowledge for data validation
• Experience analyzing automation failures
