The hiring organization is looking for an experienced QA/Test Consultant to support software quality and testing activities in a freelance/contract setup.
This opportunity is suitable for QA professionals with strong hands-on experience in Manual Testing, Functional Testing, Test Case Management, Defect Management, and QA processes.
The role requires someone who can work independently while collaborating effectively with stakeholders and technical teams.
🧩 Role Overview – Freelance QA/Test Consultant
The ideal candidate should have 3–7 years of experience in Software Testing, with strong knowledge of Manual and Functional Testing.
You should have a solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Defect Life Cycle, along with experience using professional test and defect management tools.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
• Perform Manual and Functional Testing of software applications
• Analyze requirements and identify appropriate testing scenarios
• Create, execute, and maintain test cases
• Perform Regression, Smoke, Sanity, and Functional Testing as required
• Identify, document, and track software defects
• Perform defect retesting and verify fixes
• Maintain QA documentation and testing reports
• Work with development and business teams to resolve quality issues
• Communicate testing progress, risks, and results to stakeholders
• Support continuous improvement of QA processes and test coverage
• Work independently and manage testing activities within a freelance/contract environment
🎯 Experience & Qualification Requirements
• 3–7 years of relevant Software Testing / QA experience
• Strong hands-on experience in Manual & Functional Testing
• Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Defect Life Cycle
• Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, HP ALM, or similar tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong stakeholder collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently in a freelance/contract setup
