🧩 Role Overview – QA Engineer / QA Lead
IITIL is seeking a QA Engineer / QA Lead with a strong understanding of software testing methodologies, QA processes, defect management, and test management practices.
The role involves planning and executing quality activities, managing software defects, supporting test processes, and contributing to automation and API testing initiatives.
In this role, you will:
• Execute software testing activities across different application workflows
• Support test planning, execution, and defect management
• Work with bug tracking and test management tools
• Contribute to automation testing initiatives
• Support API and performance testing activities
• Collaborate with development and product teams to improve software quality
🔧 Key Responsibilities
• Develop and execute effective software testing strategies and test scenarios
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing
• Identify, document, track, and validate software defects
• Use bug tracking and test management tools to manage QA activities
• Support test planning, execution, and reporting throughout the SDLC
• Contribute to automation testing using relevant tools and frameworks
• Perform API validation and support API testing activities
• Assist with performance testing and application quality assessments
• Collaborate with developers, product teams, and stakeholders to resolve defects
• Participate in Agile/Scrum development and testing activities
• Support continuous improvement of QA processes and testing methodologies
🎯 Experience & Qualification Requirements
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and QA processes
• Practical experience with bug tracking and test management tools
• Basic knowledge of automation testing tools and frameworks
• Understanding of Functional, Regression, Integration, and System Testing
• Knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and Defect Life Cycle
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work effectively in a remote Agile environment
⭐ Nice to Have Skills
• Hands-on experience with Selenium
• API testing experience using Postman
• Knowledge of automation testing frameworks
• Experience with API and performance testing
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines
• Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Experience with test automation and continuous testing practices
• Knowledge of quality metrics and test reporting
