🧩 Role Overview – Manual QA Tester
As a Manual QA Tester, you will be responsible for validating web and mobile applications through comprehensive manual testing. You will create and execute test scenarios, identify and track software defects, and work closely with developers to help deliver stable and high-quality releases.
The role provides hands-on exposure to different testing types while contributing throughout the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
🔧 Key Responsibilities
Perform manual testing of web and mobile applications.
Create, review, and execute detailed test cases and test scenarios.
Identify, document, prioritize, and track software bugs.
Conduct Functional, Regression, Usability, and Cross-Browser Testing.
Validate application workflows against functional requirements.
Perform retesting after defect fixes and execute regression cycles.
Analyze test results and communicate issues clearly to the development team.
Collaborate with developers to investigate and resolve application defects.
Maintain testing documentation and support adequate test coverage.
Contribute to improving overall QA processes and release quality.
🎯 Experience & Qualification Requirements
1–4 years of experience in Manual Testing, QA, or Software Quality Assurance.
Hands-on experience with web application and/or mobile application testing.
Good understanding of Functional and Regression Testing.
Experience creating and executing test cases and test scenarios.
Knowledge of Usability and Cross-Browser Testing.
Strong defect identification, documentation, and tracking skills.
Good understanding of software testing processes and QA best practices.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with developers and other stakeholders.
⭐ Nice to Have Skills
Experience with JIRA or other defect tracking tools.
Basic knowledge of API Testing and REST APIs.
Familiarity with SQL/database testing.
Exposure to mobile device and browser compatibility testing.
Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Basic knowledge of automation testing concepts.
Familiarity with SDLC and STLC processes.
