🧩 Role Overview – Manual QA Tester (US Healthcare Domain)
As a Manual QA Tester, you will validate healthcare applications and ensure that business workflows, data processing, and system integrations function correctly. The role requires a strong understanding of US Healthcare processes, including claims, eligibility, benefits, provider and member information, and authorizations.
You will perform functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing while using SQL to validate backend data and verify healthcare transaction results. Familiarity with EDI standards such as 837, 835, 834, 270/271, and 276/277 is essential for testing healthcare data exchanges.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
Perform manual testing of US Healthcare web applications.
Create, review, and execute test cases and test scenarios based on business requirements.
Test healthcare workflows related to claims, providers, members, eligibility, benefits, and authorizations.
Validate healthcare EDI transactions, including 837, 835, 834, 270/271, and 276/277.
Execute functional, integration, regression, and UAT testing.
Use SQL queries for backend database testing and data validation.
Verify data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across application components.
Identify, document, track, and retest defects throughout the defect lifecycle.
Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other QA team members to resolve software issues.
Validate end-to-end healthcare workflows and system integrations.
Maintain test documentation and report testing progress and results.
Support improvements in application reliability and overall software quality.
🎯 Experience & Qualification Requirements
2–6.5 years of experience in Software Testing / Quality Assurance, as listed in the job details.
Mandatory hands-on experience in the US Healthcare domain.
Strong understanding of manual testing and web application testing.
Knowledge of healthcare workflows, including claims, providers, members, eligibility, benefits, and authorizations.
Experience working with EDI transactions: 837, 835, 834, 270/271, and 276/277.
Strong SQL skills and experience with backend data validation.
Practical experience in functional, integration, regression, and UAT testing.
Good understanding of test case design, defect reporting, and test execution.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and collaboration skills.
⭐ Nice to Have Skills
Exposure to automation testing using Selenium, TestNG, or Katalon.
Basic knowledge of Java programming.
Experience with API testing using Postman.
Familiarity with AI-assisted QA tools such as ChatGPT and GitHub Copilot.
