🧩 Role Overview – Performance Test Engineer (LoadRunner & JMeter)
As a Performance Test Engineer, you will contribute to testing and evaluating the performance, scalability, and stability of software applications. You will use LoadRunner and Apache JMeter to simulate workloads, analyze system behavior, and identify performance bottlenecks across web applications, APIs, and client-server environments.
This role requires extensive performance testing experience, a strong understanding of application architecture, and the ability to interpret test results to support performance optimization.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
Design and execute performance tests using LoadRunner and Apache JMeter.
Conduct load testing to evaluate application behavior under expected user traffic.
Perform stress and scalability testing to identify system limitations.
Test web applications and APIs for responsiveness, stability, and performance.
Analyze test results, response times, throughput, and system behavior.
Identify performance bottlenecks and support root-cause investigation.
Evaluate application performance across client-server architectures.
Prepare performance test reports and communicate findings to technical teams.
Collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to improve application performance.
Support performance optimization and reliability initiatives based on testing results.
🎯 Experience & Qualification Requirements
10+ years of experience in Performance Testing.
Strong hands-on experience with LoadRunner.
Strong hands-on experience with Apache JMeter.
Good understanding of web applications and their performance characteristics.
Experience testing APIs and evaluating response behavior under load.
Strong understanding of client-server architecture.
Ability to analyze performance metrics and identify bottlenecks.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work onsite in McLean, Virginia, USA.
⭐ Nice to Have Skills
Experience with performance test planning and workload modeling.
Knowledge of response-time analysis, throughput, and concurrent-user behavior.
