💫 Manual Testing Across Enterprise Applications
As a QA / Test Engineer at AvenData Group, you will play a critical role in validating business-critical applications by executing structured manual testing activities. This includes Functional Testing, Smoke Testing, Sanity Testing, and Regression Testing across multiple releases. You will analyze business requirements, understand workflows, and ensure that applications meet functional expectations before reaching end users. Attention to detail, accuracy, and consistency in test execution are essential to maintain product stability in a remote, distributed work environment.
💫 Automation Testing Support & Test Coverage Enhancement
In addition to manual testing, the role involves contributing to automation initiatives that improve overall test coverage and reduce regression cycles. You will collaborate with automation engineers and developers to identify high-impact test scenarios suitable for automation. Exposure to automation concepts and frameworks will help you support scalable testing strategies that align with Agile and DevOps-driven delivery models.
💫 Defect Identification, Logging & Lifecycle Management
A key responsibility of this role is identifying defects early in the development lifecycle and ensuring they are clearly documented, tracked, and resolved. You will log defects using Jira or similar bug-tracking tools, provide detailed reproduction steps, attach evidence, and work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution. Understanding the complete defect lifecycle—from identification to closure—is critical for maintaining high-quality software releases.
💫 Agile & Scrum-Based Testing Collaboration
The QA/Test Engineer will actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. You will collaborate with product owners, developers, and other QA team members to align testing efforts with sprint goals. This role requires adaptability, strong communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in fast-paced Agile environments where continuous feedback and incremental delivery are key.
💫 Database Validation & Backend Testing Support
The role also involves performing basic SQL queries to validate backend data consistency, integrity, and accuracy. You will verify that application transactions correctly reflect in databases and ensure that business rules are properly enforced at the data level. 💫 Test Documentation & Reporting Excellence
You will be responsible for maintaining high-quality test documentation, including test cases, test execution reports, defect summaries, and release sign-off documents. 💫 Strong hands-on experience in Manual Testing methodologies including Functional, Smoke, Sanity, and Regression Testing.
