💫 UAT Strategy Ownership for Large-Scale Banking Programs
The Senior UAT Tester will take complete ownership of User Acceptance Testing strategy across large, complex, and high-impact banking transformation projects. This includes defining UAT scope, aligning test strategies with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and risk controls, and ensuring all functional outcomes meet stakeholder expectations before production release. The role requires a proactive mindset focused on identifying gaps early, mitigating downstream risks, and protecting business-critical financial workflows.
💫 End-to-End UAT Planning, Execution & Governance
You will be responsible for building and executing detailed UAT plans that ensure full traceability from business requirements to test cases and final sign-off. This includes creating, reviewing, and approving UAT scenarios, executing test cycles, logging outcomes, escalating blockers, validating fixes, and preparing comprehensive UAT exit reports. Your contribution will directly impact release confidence, regulatory compliance, and customer experience.
💫 Banking Domain Testing with Strong Business Alignment
A core expectation of this role is deep involvement in end-to-end banking business processes, particularly within deposit systems and payment workflows. You will validate authorization logic, posting mechanisms, reconciliation processes, and transaction data flows, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance across systems. Experience with wire transfers, regulatory checks, and risk controls will be leveraged to safeguard financial integrity.
💫 Collaboration with Business & Technology Stakeholders
The Senior UAT Tester will work closely with business users, product owners, developers, architects, and compliance teams to translate business strategy into effective UAT solutions. This includes facilitating defect triage meetings, participating in design discussions, validating defect resolutions, and ensuring alignment between business intent and technical implementation across multiple releases.
💫 Leadership & Coordination of UAT Testers
This role acts as a senior resource within the UAT function, coordinating the work of UAT testers and providing guidance on test design, execution priorities, and quality standards. You will support workload planning, intake prioritization, estimation of UAT cycles, scheduling, progress tracking, and escalation management to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
💫 Automation Exposure & CI/CD Integration Support
In addition to hands-on UAT testing, the role requires strong collaboration with automation and DevOps teams. You will identify UAT scenarios suitable for automation, support integration of automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, and validate builds through continuous testing practices. Experience with Java, Selenium, automation frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines will help improve release velocity while maintaining quality.
💫 Risk Mitigation, Compliance & Production Readiness
A key responsibility is proactively identifying defects and risks that could impact production systems, regulatory compliance, or customer trust. The Senior UAT Tester plays a critical role in ensuring that issues are detected, documented, resolved, and validated before go-live—reducing costly post-production incidents and ensuring audit readiness.
🔍 Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
💫 6–8 years of hands-on experience in manual and automation testing within the Banking or Financial Services domain.
💫 Strong experience in UAT testing, particularly for complex, enterprise-scale projects.
💫 Practical exposure to automation testing using Java, Selenium, and modern automation frameworks.
💫 Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and test integration within DevOps environments.
💫 Solid understanding of banking systems, deposit products, payment transactions, authorization, posting, and reconciliation processes.
💫 Experience working with compliance and risk protocols related to financial transactions and wire transfers.
💫 Excellent stakeholder communication, analytical thinking, documentation, and leadership skills.
💫 Ability to manage multiple UAT streams simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and quality outcomes.s
