💫 End-to-End Quality Assurance Across Automation Initiatives
As a QA Analyst within Scotiabank’s Smart Automation Team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of automation solutions that support enterprise-scale banking operations. You will actively contribute to testing initiatives across automation platforms, working closely with developers, business analysts, and DevOps teams to validate intelligent workflows and digital processes.
💫 Manual Testing, Functional Validation & Regression Coverage
You will be responsible for designing, documenting, and executing comprehensive manual test cases across functional, regression, integration, and system testing phases. This includes validating business logic, workflows, and system behaviors against requirements while ensuring data accuracy and operational stability across releases.
💫 Defect Management, Root Cause Analysis & Jira Workflow Ownership
The role requires hands-on experience in identifying, documenting, tracking, and retesting defects using industry-standard tools such as Jira. You will collaborate with development teams to perform root cause analysis, verify fixes, and ensure issues are resolved within defined SLAs while maintaining audit-ready QA documentation.
💫 Automation Support Using RPA & Intelligent Automation Tools
You will support automation initiatives by identifying high-value test scenarios suitable for automation and assisting in script development using tools such as UiPath, Pega OpenSpan, and similar RPA platforms. Exposure to automation frameworks and intelligent automation workflows will help enhance test coverage and reduce manual effort over time.
🔍 Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
💫 Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
💫 2–5 years of professional experience in software testing or quality assurance roles.
💫 Strong proficiency in manual testing techniques with exposure to automation concepts.
💫 Experience with API testing tools such as Postman and RestAssured, including REST and GraphQL validation.
💫 Familiarity with automation and RPA tools such as Selenium, UiPath, WorkFusion, or Pega OpenSpan (preferred).
💫 Experience supporting regression testing, patch validation, and UAT cycles.
💫 Working knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and DevOps methodologies.
💫 Strong communication, collaboration, documentation, and analytical skills.
💫 Certifications (Nice to Have):
• ISTQB Certified Tester
• UiPath Certified RPA Associate
