💫 Manual Testing Ownership with Strong Quality Mindset
The Manual QA / Test Engineer will be responsible for ensuring high-quality delivery through structured, thoughtful, and detail-oriented manual testing practices. The role focuses on validating functional requirements, identifying edge cases, and ensuring application stability across releases. This position is ideal for professionals who value quality engineering over automation-first execution and who enjoy deep analysis of application behavior.
💫 Test Case Design, Test Planning & Requirement Analysis
You will actively participate in requirement analysis and design comprehensive test plans and detailed test cases aligned with business and functional specifications. Responsibilities include creating reusable test scenarios, ensuring requirement traceability, and validating end-to-end workflows across different test cycles. Strong documentation skills and structured testing approaches are essential for success in this role.
💫 Defect Tracking, Reporting & Quality Governance
The role involves identifying, logging, tracking, and managing defects throughout the testing lifecycle using defect management tools, with Azure DevOps preferred. You will work closely with development teams to communicate issues clearly, validate fixes, perform retesting, and ensure timely closure of defects while maintaining high quality standards.
💫 Exploratory Testing & Risk-Based Validation
A strong exploratory testing mindset is expected to uncover hidden issues beyond scripted test cases. You will analyze application behavior, explore edge cases, validate negative scenarios, and proactively identify potential risks that could impact production stability or user experience.
💫 Strong Understanding of QA Processes & SDLC
You will apply best practices across the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). This includes participating in test strategy discussions, understanding release timelines, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring quality checkpoints are met at every stage of development.
💫 Database Validation using SQL Server
The role requires working knowledge of SQL Server for backend data validation. You will validate data integrity, verify transactions, ensure correct data persistence, and support functional testing by analyzing database records where required.
💫 Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams
You will work closely with developers, business analysts, and product stakeholders to ensure shared understanding of requirements and quality expectations. Clear communication, attention to detail, and accountability for quality outcomes are critical aspects of this role.
🔍 Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
💫 2–8 years of hands-on experience in Manual Testing across enterprise or product-based applications.
💫 Strong expertise in test case design, test planning, and defect management.
💫 Experience working with Azure DevOps or similar defect tracking tools.
💫 Solid understanding of QA methodologies, STLC, and SDLC processes.
💫 Practical experience in exploratory testing and risk-based testing approaches.
💫 Working knowledge of SQL Server for data validation and backend testing.
💫 Automation experience is optional and not mandatory for this role.
💫 Strong analytical thinking, documentation skills, and communication abilities.
