🧩 Role Overview – Manual Tester (Life Insurance | QA Team Leadership)
ComUnus is hiring an experienced Manual Tester with strong expertise in the Life Insurance domain and proven leadership skills.
This role is ideal for QA professionals who can combine hands-on manual testing with team coordination, test planning, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced insurance environment.
In this role, you will:
• Lead and mentor a small QA team
• Ensure quality delivery across Life Insurance workflows
• Work closely with business, development, and stakeholder teams
You will play a key role in improving product quality, test coverage, and release readiness for insurance applications.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
• Lead and mentor a team of QA testers, ensuring task allocation and timely delivery
• Understand Life Insurance workflows such as Policy Administration, Claims, Underwriting, and related processes
• Analyze business requirements and prepare detailed test scenarios and test cases
• Perform functional, regression, system, and UAT testing
• Identify, log, and track defects using defect management tools
• Coordinate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders
• Review test cases, execution reports, and ensure quality standards
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and QA status reporting
• Ensure proper documentation and complete test coverage
• Support production releases and post-release validation
🎯 Experience & Qualification Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field preferred
• 4–5 years of experience in Manual Testing
• Mandatory experience in Life Insurance domain
• Experience leading or handling a team of 2–5 members
• Strong understanding of STLC and SDLC
• Experience with JIRA, ALM, or similar test management / defect tracking tools
• Knowledge of SQL for basic database validation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments preferred
⭐ Nice to Have Skills
• Exposure to automation testing tools
• Experience in policy administration or claims workflows
• UAT coordination and release support experience
• API testing exposure
• Strong reporting and documentation skills
