🧩 Role Overview – Manual QA Tester (Remote | EST Shift)
SUS Infotek is hiring an experienced Manual QA Tester for a 12-month remote contract role.
This role is ideal for senior QA professionals with deep expertise in manual testing, white-box and black-box testing, web and API validation, and defect reporting—high-value skills in today’s software quality market.
In this role, you will:
• Perform end-to-end manual testing across web and API layers
• Validate software quality in Agile/Scrum environments
• Ensure timely defect identification and accurate issue reporting
You will play a critical role in maintaining product reliability, release stability, and user experience for enterprise applications.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
• Perform manual testing using white-box and black-box testing approaches
• Test web applications, websites, and APIs thoroughly
• Create, review, and execute detailed test cases and test scenarios
• Identify, log, and track defects with clear reproduction steps
• Write well-documented issue reports with expected vs actual results
• Collaborate with developers and QA teams to ensure defect closure
• Perform regression, functional, and integration testing
• Support performance and security testing activities where required
• Work in Agile/Scrum development cycles
• Maintain testing documentation and quality reports
🎯 Experience & Qualification Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field preferred
• 10+ years of experience in Manual QA / Software Testing
• Strong hands-on experience in both white-box and black-box testing
• Experience with manual and automated testing tools
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum development processes
• Good knowledge of SQL and scripting is a plus
• Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus
• Must have knowledge of GitLab
• Strong hands-on experience in web application, website, and API testing
• Excellent bug reporting and documentation skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Exposure to automation frameworks and tools
• Experience in performance testing tools
• Security testing exposure
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
• Experience working with distributed remote teams
