🧩 Role Overview – QA Automation Engineer
5Exceptions is hiring a QA Automation Engineer with strong hands-on experience in automation testing and software quality assurance.
This role is ideal for professionals who enjoy building automation frameworks, validating APIs, and ensuring seamless application performance across releases.
In this role, you will:
• Design and execute automation test suites
• Validate API and application workflows
• Improve test coverage and release confidence
You will play a key role in strengthening product quality, reducing defects, and supporting reliable software delivery.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
• Develop, maintain, and execute automation test scripts using Selenium
• Work with TestNG or JUnit to build scalable test frameworks
• Perform API testing using Postman and Rest Assured
• Collaborate with developers and QA teams to ensure high-quality releases
• Identify, report, and track defects effectively
• Support regression, functional, and integration testing cycles
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and sprint planning
• Improve automation framework efficiency and reliability
• Contribute to continuous QA process improvements
🎯 Experience & Qualification Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field preferred
• 3+ years of experience in QA Automation / Software Testing
• Hands-on experience with Selenium
• Experience with TestNG or JUnit
• Strong knowledge of API Testing using Postman and Rest Assured
• Proficiency in Java or Python
• Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines
• Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Strong analytical and debugging skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
⭐ Nice to Have Skills
• Experience with automation framework development
• Exposure to cloud-based testing environments
• Knowledge of Maven/Gradle
• Understanding of cross-browser testing
• Experience in product-based environments
