As a Junior Quality Assurance Analyst at Niche Technology, you will contribute to the quality and reliability of NicheRMS, an advanced Police Records Management System (RMS) actively used by law enforcement agencies across Canada, the US, the UK, and Australia. This is not a typical QA role—your work directly impacts public safety, compliance, and real-world policing operations. You will collaborate closely with the Lead QA Analyst and Lead Developer, gaining hands-on exposure to enterprise-grade software used in live production environments. The role is ideal for candidates who are analytical, detail-oriented, eager to learn, and motivated to build a long-term career in quality engineering within a stable, product-focused organization.
💫 Test Execution, Validation & Reporting
You will be responsible for executing structured test cases across web, mobile, and client/server applications. This includes validating functional workflows, integrations, and system behavior while ensuring results are accurately documented. Clear defect reporting, reproducibility, and traceability are key expectations. You will actively participate in test execution cycles, regression validation, and release readiness activities, ensuring that quality remains uncompromised in a live law-enforcement environment.
💫 API, Integration & Data Validation Testing
The role involves hands-on testing of APIs and web service interfaces, ensuring accurate data exchange across integrated systems. You will validate responses, workflows, and error handling, while also working with SQL and SQL Server to verify backend data integrity.
Exposure to Microsoft Visual Studio, SQL-based validation, and structured debugging will strengthen your foundation in enterprise QA practices.
💫 Multi-Platform Testing (Web, Mobile & Client/Server)
You will test applications across multiple platforms, including web-based interfaces, mobile environments, and client/server systems. Understanding how real users interact with complex police workflows is critical to identifying usability gaps, functional defects, and edge cases.
