🧩 Role Overview – Payments Testing / QA Engineer
Aether Enterprise Applications LLP is hiring experienced Testing / QA professionals for large-scale Payments implementation programs.
This role is ideal for candidates with deep payments domain knowledge who want to work on Global PAYplus, ISO 20022 messaging, SWIFT MT/MX, and enterprise transaction platforms—high-demand areas in the global fintech and banking ecosystem.
In this role, you will:
• Validate payment processing across complex systems
• Perform end-to-end testing for mission-critical payment flows
• Work closely with business, implementation, and client teams
You will play a key role in ensuring reliability, compliance, and delivery quality across payments solutions.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
• Perform functional, integration, and end-to-end testing of the Payments hub, preferably Global PAYplus (GPP)
• Test payment types including Cross-border (SWIFT), High Value, Mass, and Immediate clearings
• Validate the full payment lifecycle: initiation, enrichment, processing, routing, repair, reject/return/cancellation, clearing, and settlement
• Design test scenarios, prepare test cases, execute test cycles, and manage defects
• Collaborate with business analysts, implementation teams, and client stakeholders
• Ensure delivery quality across upstream, downstream, and adjacent systems
• Prepare test documentation and support UAT / release validation
• Analyze failures, investigate issues, and support defect closure
• Ensure compliance with payment rules, posting logic, and exception handling
• Contribute to overall test strategy and quality improvements
🎯 Experience & Qualification Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field preferred
• 2–8 years of experience in QA / Testing
• Hands-on experience in Payments product or implementation testing, preferably GPP
• Strong understanding of the Payments domain, including compliance checks, fees/charges, FX, cutoffs, postings, exception handling, clearing, and settlement
• Strong expertise in ISO 20022 (pacs, pain, camt) and SWIFT MT/MX messaging
• Experience in test design, execution, and defect management
• Proficiency in SQL (Oracle) for test data preparation and validation
• Experience in API testing (REST/SOAP) using Postman / SOAP UI
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and stakeholder collaboration abilities
⭐ Nice to Have Skills
• Exposure to scheme/certification testing (SWIFT, RTGS, ACH, SEPA, FPS, etc.)
• Exposure to test automation frameworks
• Knowledge of Java
• Experience in enterprise banking or fintech transformation programs
