💫 Mobile Application Quality Assurance & End-to-End Testing Ownership
The Senior QA Automation Engineer will take full ownership of quality assurance for Android and iOS mobile applications, ensuring stable, secure, and high-performing releases. This includes validating user journeys, feature flows, real-time interactions, background services, notifications, and device-level behaviors across multiple OS versions, screen sizes, and hardware configurations. The role demands a deep understanding of mobile-specific challenges such as memory management, network variability, battery usage, and device fragmentation.
💫 Mobile Automation Framework Design Using Appium
A core responsibility of this role is designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable mobile automation frameworks using Appium. The engineer will create reusable test components, manage capabilities, handle device farms or emulators, and ensure stable execution across Android and iOS platforms. Expertise in Appium architecture, driver management, synchronization strategies, and cross-platform automation is critical for maintaining high test reliability and reducing flakiness.
💫 Hands-on Testing with UI Automator, XCUITest & Espresso
The candidate will leverage native mobile testing technologies such as UI Automator, XCUITest, and Espresso to strengthen test coverage and support platform-specific validation. This includes testing gestures, device permissions, OS-level integrations, accessibility features, and native UI behaviors that require deeper instrumentation-level validation beyond standard automation scripts.
💫 Scripting, Automation Logic & Test Data Handling
Strong scripting skills in Java, Python, or JavaScript are essential for building automation logic, custom utilities, data-driven tests, and reporting layers. The role involves creating modular test flows, handling dynamic test data, managing test environments, and implementing intelligent retry and logging mechanisms to improve execution stability and debugging efficiency.
💫 CI/CD Integration & Automation Pipeline Enablement
The Senior QA Engineer will integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using Git-based workflows and industry-standard DevOps tools. Responsibilities include configuring triggers for regression, smoke, and sanity test runs, optimizing execution times, analyzing failures, and enabling continuous quality feedback for development teams. The goal is to ensure automation supports rapid releases without compromising quality.
💫 Manual Testing, Exploratory Testing & Risk-Based Validation
In addition to automation, the role includes hands-on manual testing, exploratory testing, and scenario-based validation to uncover edge cases and usability issues that automated scripts may miss. 💫 Defect Management, Root Cause Analysis & Reporting
The engineer will be responsible for identifying, documenting, tracking, and prioritizing defects while performing root cause analysis to prevent recurrence. Clear communication with developers, product managers, and stakeholders is required to ensure defects are resolved efficiently and quality metrics are consistently improved.

🔍 Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
💫 Strong hands-on experience in mobile application testing for Android and iOS platforms.
💫 Mandatory expertise in Appium with proven experience building or maintaining automation frameworks.

💫 Proficiency in at least one scripting language: Java, Python, or JavaScript.
