🔍 Essential Skillset & Responsibilities:
💫 End-to-End Manual & Automation Testing Expertise
The QA Engineer will be responsible for comprehensive testing of web and API applications, performing hands-on manual testing to validate functional, integration, system, regression, and UI aspects of the product. You will write, execute, and maintain test cases and test plans, ensuring thorough test coverage and defect-free software delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
Performing manual testing to validate functionality, workflows, and business logic.
Executing integration and system testing to ensure end-to-end product quality.
Participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and QA walkthroughs.
Reporting and tracking defects in JIRA or other tracking tools.
Performing root cause analysis (RCA) for critical defects and collaborating with developers for resolution.
💫 Automation Testing & Framework Management
The candidate should have hands-on experience in automation testing using Selenium and/or Playwright. Responsibilities include:
Developing, maintaining, and executing automation scripts.
Designing reusable test components for web applications.
Integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
Ensuring regression automation is executed for each release and providing insights on test coverage.
💫 API Testing & Backend Validation
The QA Engineer will perform API testing to ensure backend services are working as expected. Tasks include:
Validating RESTful APIs using tools such as Postman or equivalent.
Performing request/response validations, data integrity checks, and authentication testing.
Collaborating with developers and product teams to verify seamless integration between frontend and backend.
💫 AI Testing Exposure (Optional / Advantageous)
Experience or exposure to AI-driven testing tools is a plus. Candidates familiar with AI-assisted automation, predictive defect detection, or intelligent testing frameworks will have an edge.
💫 QA Best Practices & Documentation
The candidate will be responsible for maintaining test documentation, including:
Test plans, test cases, and requirement traceability matrices (RTM).
Documenting test execution results, defects, and reporting metrics.
Participating in QA process improvement initiatives and mentoring peers.
🔍 Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
💫 2+ years of proven experience in Manual & Automation Testing.
💫 Hands-on experience with Selenium and/or Playwright.
💫 Strong understanding of API testing and backend validation.
💫 Familiarity with SDLC/STLC, Agile workflows, and QA best practices.
💫 Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
💫 Ability to work independently, take ownership of tasks, and collaborate effectively with remote teams.
