🔍 Essential Skillset & Responsibilities:
💫 Medical Device Software & System Testing Expertise
The Medical Device Test Engineer will be responsible for validating safety-critical medical software and embedded systems in compliance with global regulatory standards. This role demands hands-on experience in testing medical devices across software, system, and integration levels while ensuring patient safety, data integrity, and regulatory compliance throughout the product lifecycle.
💫 Regulatory Compliance & Quality Standards (Mandatory)
The role requires strong working knowledge of medical device regulations and standards such as IEC 62304, ISO 13485, ISO 14971, FDA 21 CFR Part 820, and related quality management processes. The engineer will ensure that all testing activities align with regulatory requirements and support audit readiness.
💫 Test Planning, Execution & Traceability Management
You will design and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios with complete traceability to requirements and risk controls. Maintaining Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM), test evidence, and validation artifacts is a key responsibility to ensure compliance and release approval.
💫 Risk-Based Testing & Defect Management
The engineer will actively participate in risk analysis, hazard identification, and mitigation validation. Defects must be logged, tracked, analyzed, and retested with proper documentation and impact assessment to support regulatory and quality audits.
💫 System, Integration & Validation Testing
The role involves performing system testing, integration testing, verification, and validation (V&V) activities on medical device software and connected systems. Ensuring end-to-end functionality, reliability, and safety across workflows is a core expectation.
💫 Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams
You will collaborate closely with R&D, firmware, system engineers, regulatory, and quality teams to ensure testing aligns with product design, risk controls, and business objectives. Strong communication is essential to clarify requirements, resolve defects, and support release decisions.
🔍 Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
💫 3–10 years of experience in Medical Device Testing / Medical Device QA
💫 Strong understanding of medical device SDLC & V-Model
💫 Hands-on experience with test case design, execution, RTM, and validation documentation
💫 Exposure to risk management, hazard analysis, and compliance testing
💫 Experience working in regulated environments (FDA / CE / MDR)
💫 Strong analytical thinking, documentation skills, and quality-first mindset
💫 Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
