🔍 Essential Skillset & Responsibilities:
💫 API Testing Expertise
The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end API testing using tools like Postman, Swagger, or Rest Assured. This includes designing test scenarios, executing API test cases, validating request and response payloads, performing error and boundary testing, and ensuring the reliability and correctness of API endpoints.
💫 SQL Proficiency & Data Validation
You will be required to write complex SQL queries for data validation, verify data integrity, and ensure seamless integration between application layers. Strong hands-on experience in relational databases is mandatory for accurate test execution and defect identification.
💫 Manual Testing & Defect Management
The role involves analyzing business requirements, creating and executing detailed test cases, reporting defects, and working closely with developers to ensure timely resolution. Experience in following SDLC and STLC best practices is critical for structured testing and high-quality software delivery.
💫 Collaboration & Agile Participation
The Software Test Engineer will actively participate in sprint planning, daily standups, and review meetings. Collaborating with product managers, developers, and QA leads ensures alignment between business requirements and test coverage while delivering consistent project outcomes.
💫 Quality Assurance Ownership
Responsible for ensuring that all deliverables meet functional requirements, compliance standards, and performance benchmarks. Contribute to improving QA processes, frameworks, and documentation for ongoing projects.
🔍 Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
💫 Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in software testing.
💫 Strong expertise in API testing tools: Postman, Swagger, Rest Assured.
💫 Excellent SQL skills for data validation and query execution.
💫 Solid understanding of test case design, defect reporting, and QA methodologies.
💫 Knowledge of SDLC/STLC processes and Agile/Scrum environments.
💫 Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail.
💫 Good communication skills for effective collaboration with development and product teams.
