🔍 Essential Skillset & Responsibilities:
💫 End-to-End Quality Engineering Ownership (Manual + Automation)
As a Software Engineer II – Quality at Mastercard, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of next-generation payment and data platforms. You will be responsible for validating complex web applications, APIs, databases, and cloud-native systems using a blend of manual and automated testing strategies.
💫 Manual Testing, Automation & Regression Excellence
You will design, develop, and execute comprehensive manual and automated test cases for enterprise-grade applications. Strong expertise in Selenium, Cucumber, Java or Python will be used to validate new features, enhancements, and regression cycles across large-scale platforms.
💫 API, Database & Data Validation Testing
The role requires hands-on experience testing REST/SOAP APIs and validating large, complex datasets using advanced SQL queries. You will ensure data accuracy, integrity, and performance across business intelligence and analytics-driven systems.
💫 Cloud, Performance & Scalability Testing
You will perform performance and scalability testing for cloud-based applications, ensuring systems can handle high transaction volumes with low latency and high availability — a critical requirement in global payments technology.
💫 CI/CD Integration & DevOps Collaboration
You will actively contribute to continuous testing by integrating automation suites into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, and Maven, enabling faster releases and real-time quality feedback.
💫 Agile / SAFe Delivery & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Working in Agile and SAFe environments, you will participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, reviews, and retrospectives. Close collaboration with developers, product owners, and stakeholders will ensure quality is embedded across the SDLC.
💫 Defect Management, Reporting & Stakeholder Communication
You will identify, log, and track defects using tools such as JIRA or TestRail, provide clear root cause analysis, and communicate quality insights effectively to technical and business stakeholders.
🔍 Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
💫 Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, MIS, or related field
💫 3–5 years of experience in software testing (Manual + Automation)
💫 ISTQB Certification preferred
💫 Strong proficiency in Java or Python, Selenium, Cucumber, and REST API testing
💫 Advanced SQL skills for complex data validation
💫 Experience in cloud testing, performance testing, and CI/CD pipelines
💫 Exposure to AI/ML-based application testing is a strong plus
💫 Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and modern DevOps practices is advantageous
💫 Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills
