🧩 Role Overview – QA Engineer (Manual + Automation Testing)

WalkingTree Technologies is hiring an experienced QA Engineer with expertise in both Manual and Automation Testing.

This role is ideal for professionals who can combine strong functional testing capabilities with automation skills to ensure reliable, scalable, and high-performing software products.

In this role, you will:

• Execute comprehensive manual and automation testing activities

• Validate APIs, databases, and application workflows

• Support quality assurance initiatives across Agile delivery teams

You will play a critical role in improving software quality, reducing production defects, and ensuring successful product releases.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test cases and test scenarios

• Perform Manual, Functional, Regression, and Integration Testing

• Conduct API Testing using Postman

• Validate backend data using SQL queries

• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Selenium or Playwright

• Track, report, and verify defects using JIRA

• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders

• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and sprint activities

• Support CI/CD testing processes and release validation

• Ensure application quality, performance, and stability before deployment

🎯 Experience & Qualification Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field preferred

• 5+ years of experience in Software Testing and Quality Assurance

• Strong expertise in Manual & Functional Testing

• Hands-on experience with API Testing using Postman

• Good knowledge of SQL for database validation

• Experience working with JIRA for defect management

• Hands-on experience with Selenium or Playwright automation frameworks

• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies

• Exposure to Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines

• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving abilities

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
