🔍 Essential Skillset & Responsibilities:
💫 Hands-on Manual Testing Across SDLC & STLC
As an SQA Engineer, you will be a core part of a newly formed QA team, responsible for executing high-quality manual testing across functional, regression, and integration test cycles. You will actively participate in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), ensuring early defect detection and stable product releases.
💫 Test Case Design, Test Planning & RTM Ownership
You will design, write, and maintain detailed test cases, test plans, and Requirement Traceability Matrices (RTM) to ensure full coverage of business and technical requirements. This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to translate requirements into effective and structured test scenarios.
💫 API Testing Using Postman (Mandatory Hands-On)
A key responsibility of this role is performing API testing using Postman. You will validate REST APIs, request/response payloads, status codes, and data accuracy to ensure backend reliability and seamless system integrations. Practical, real-time API testing experience is mandatory for this role.
💫 Basic Performance Testing with JMeter
You will execute basic performance and load testing using Apache JMeter to identify potential performance bottlenecks. This includes running test scenarios, analyzing response times, and reporting performance-related issues to improve application stability and scalability.
💫 Database Testing & SQL Validation
The role requires basic database testing skills, including writing and executing SQL queries to validate data integrity, backend processing, and transactional accuracy. You will ensure data consistency between UI, APIs, and database layers.
💫 Defect Reporting & Clear Communication
You will log, track, and manage defects with clear documentation and reproducible steps. Strong communication skills are essential to collaborate with developers, product teams, and stakeholders to ensure timely defect resolution and continuous quality improvement.
💫 Collaboration in Agile Environment
You will work closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment, actively participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and review meetings to ensure quality alignment throughout development cycles.
🔍 Good-to-Have Skills:
💫 Basic exposure to automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
💫 Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and collaborative QA workflows.
⚠️ Mandatory Note: Candidates must have practical hands-on experience in Manual Testing, API Testing using Postman, and basic Performance Testing using JMeter. Profiles without real project exposure in these areas will not be considered.
