🔍 Role Overview – Manual QA Tester (USA)
Navitas is hiring a Manual QA Tester to support high-impact digital transformation projects across commercial, federal, and state markets. This role focuses on manual UI testing, REST API validation, and end-to-end quality assurance within an Agile SDLC.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, strong in test case design and defect management, and experienced in validating web-based applications and backend integrations.
🧪 Key Responsibilities – Manual QA & API Testing
🔹 Manual Functional & UI Testing
Execute manual functional, regression, smoke, exploratory, and E2E testing
Validate UI workflows, cross-browser behavior, data integrity & UX
Ensure applications meet acceptance criteria and business requirements
🔹 API & Backend Validation
Perform manual REST API testing (JSON request/response validation)
Validate status codes, error handling & data consistency
Verify UI-to-API and backend integration flows
🔹 Test Design & Execution
Create, maintain, and execute test cases and test scenarios
Identify test coverage gaps and quality risks
Produce test execution reports with clear status and metrics
🔹 Defect Management & RCA
Log high-quality defect tickets with steps, evidence & severity
Track defects through triage, fix verification & regression
Support basic-to-intermediate Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
🔹 Agile Collaboration
Participate in Agile ceremonies (planning, standups, reviews)
Collaborate with Product Owners, Developers & DevOps teams
Contribute early to testability and quality strategy
🧠 Required Skills & Qualifications
2–5 years of manual QA / software testing experience
Strong experience testing web UI applications
Hands-on REST API testing (JSON, HTTP methods & status codes)
Solid knowledge of Agile / Scrum / Kanban
Strong test case design & risk-based testing skills
Expertise in defect lifecycle management
Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools
Working knowledge of authentication concepts (Basic, Token, OAuth)
⭐ Nice to Have (High-Value Skills)
Exposure to Healthcare / Insurance / Benefits domains
Basic database validation (SQL)
Awareness of accessibility testing (WCAG)
Experience with TestRail, Zephyr, or Xray
