🔍 Job Overview – Quality Assurance Analyst at TVO
TVO Media Education Group (TVO) is hiring an experienced Quality Assurance Analyst to support its Digital & Innovation division. This role is ideal for QA professionals who thrive in mission-driven, large-scale digital learning environments and want to make a real societal impact through high-quality educational platforms.
You will be responsible for end-to-end quality assurance across digital learning products, ensuring software reliability, accessibility, usability, and compliance throughout the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

🔧 Essential Skillset & Responsibilities
💫 End-to-End Quality Assurance Ownership
Review software and business requirements with cross-functional teams
Apply established QA standards, methodologies, and best practices
Execute manual, automated, sanity, regression, UAT, and end-to-end testing
Determine what to test, when to test, and how to test based on risk and impact
You will bring a “break-the-system” mindset, identifying issues early and preventing defects from reaching production.
💫 Test Planning, Execution & Defect Management
Create and maintain Test Plans, Test Strategies, and Test Cases
Execute test cases across multiple environments
Analyze test results and escalate risks proactively
Log detailed, high-quality defect reports with clear reproduction steps
Perform root-cause analysis and troubleshooting in collaboration with development teams
Tools used include JIRA, XRay, and enterprise defect tracking systems.
💫 Agile & Waterfall Delivery Collaboration
Work closely with the QA Manager and cross-functional teams
Participate in sprint ceremonies, release readiness assessments, and go-live approvals
Provide QA status updates and quality risk assessments
Support post-release validation and live production applications
Strong collaboration skills are critical in ensuring quality is embedded throughout delivery.

Identify QA process gaps and recommend improvements
Support quality governance initiatives
Contribute to higher testing maturity and consistency across projects
Prioritize workload effectively to meet tight timelines without compromising quality
🎓 Education
Three-year diploma or degree (or equivalent) from a recognized post-secondary institution
🧪 Quality Assurance Expertise
5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance
Strong experience testing:
Learning Management Systems (LMS)
Student Record Systems
Websites & Web Tools
Online Games
Mobile Applications
Deep understanding of:
SDLC & STLC
Systems integration & deployment verification
Test planning and execution strategies
