🧩 Role Overview – Lead SDET Expert
Deloitte is hiring a Lead SDET Expert with strong experience in automation engineering, framework architecture, and quality engineering leadership.
This role is ideal for senior automation professionals who have hands-on expertise in building scalable automation solutions across UI, API, mobile, and enterprise applications.
The selected candidate will drive automation strategy, improve engineering quality, and mentor teams to deliver reliable software products.
In this role, you will:
• Architect and develop robust automation frameworks
• Lead quality engineering initiatives across projects
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve release quality
You will play a key role in building scalable testing solutions and driving automation excellence.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks
• Build automation solutions across UI, API, and mobile platforms
• Lead automation strategy and framework improvements
• Develop high-quality automation scripts using modern programming practices
• Perform advanced testing of REST, SOAP, GraphQL, and microservices applications
• Integrate and optimize automated test suites within CI/CD pipelines
• Work with tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI
• Perform database validation using advanced SQL queries
• Validate data across complex systems including distributed and big data environments
• Collaborate with developers, architects, and product teams
• Conduct code reviews and improve automation standards
• Support performance and security testing initiatives
🎯 Experience & Qualification Requirements
• Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field preferred
• 6–9 years of experience in Software Testing / SDET
• Minimum 1 year experience in Lead SDET, Automation Architect, or Senior SDET role
• Strong experience designing automation frameworks from scratch
• Expert-level programming knowledge in any one language:
✅ Java
✅ Python
✅ C#
✅ JavaScript
• Strong understanding of:
• Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
• Design Patterns
• Code Optimization
• Experience with UI, API, and Mobile automation testing
• Strong knowledge of modern web architectures and microservices testing
• Hands-on experience with REST, SOAP, and GraphQL testing
• Strong SQL and database validation skills
• Excellent analytical, debugging, and leadership abilities
⭐ Preferred Skills
• Performance Testing using JMeter or Gatling
• Security Testing using OWASP ZAP or Burp Suite
• Experience with Big Data / Distributed Systems Testing
• DevOps and CI/CD automation experience
• Experience mentoring automation teams
• Agile/Scrum delivery experience
