🧩 Role Overview – Software Engineer – QA (Manual Testing)
ApplyCup is hiring a Software Engineer – QA (Manual Testing) to strengthen its quality assurance team in Pune.
This role is ideal for QA professionals with strong experience in manual testing, database validation, and software quality processes.
The selected candidate will work closely with development teams, business stakeholders, and product teams to ensure high-quality software releases.
In this role, you will:
• Validate software applications through structured testing processes
• Perform functional and database testing activities
• Identify defects and ensure smooth resolution
You will contribute to improving product quality, reliability, and user experience.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
• Analyze requirements and prepare detailed test scenarios
• Create, review, and execute test cases
• Perform Functional, Regression, Smoke, and Integration Testing
• Conduct Database Testing using SQL queries
• Validate data using SELECT, JOIN, UPDATE, and search queries
• Identify, document, and track defects using defect management processes
• Collaborate with developers and business teams for issue resolution
• Participate in SDLC/STLC activities
• Maintain test documentation and execution reports
• Support release testing and production validation
• Contribute to QA process improvements
🎯 Experience & Qualification Requirements
• BE/B.Tech, MCA, MCS, M.Tech, or equivalent qualification
• 2–4 years of relevant Manual Testing experience
• Strong knowledge of Manual Testing methodologies
• Hands-on experience in Functional Testing
• Strong SQL and Database Testing skills
• Experience with Test Case Creation and Execution
• Good understanding of SDLC and STLC
• Experience with Defect Management processes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Candidates with experience in the following domains will be preferred:
• Banking Applications

• Accounting Software

• Website Testing
